Bee Removal

When honeybees colonise a base-station shelter or build a hive on tower steelwork, our suit-equipped specialist crews remove them safely and relocate the colony to apiarist partners — protecting the equipment and the bees. Same-day callout on active hives.

What we do

The work, in detail.

  • Antenna-walkway hive removal at the top of the tower — the most common nesting location
  • Live-hive identification and species assessment
  • Protective-suit access — full PPE, smoker, brush
  • Hive relocation to apiarist partners (live, never killed)
  • Equipment-shelter cleaning and bee-proofing
  • Cable-tray colony extraction
  • Same-day callout for active hives
  • Post-removal follow-up at 14 days

Where this lives on a site

Almost always at the top of the tower, under the antenna walkway — the platform's underside is warm, sheltered and bee-irresistible. Also encountered inside equipment shelters, in cable trays, and on tower steelwork at lower heights when a swarm has been displaced.

Standards & compliance

  • Conservation of Agricultural Resources Act
  • OHS Act (working with hazardous biological agents)
  • South African Bee Industry Organisation guidelines
  • Apiary relocation chain-of-custody

How we deliver

Where this fits in your operation.

Every Glenshade engagement runs the same five-step shape. The same crew that walked the site can hand the as-builts back to your NOC the next morning.

  1. Step 01

    Operator or TowerCo site

Vodacom, ATC, Insite or MAST asset on the National Roaming footprint.

  2. Step 02

    RAMS + method statement

Risk and method pack signed off before any boots reach the gate.

  3. Step 03

    Glenshade crew dispatched

Branded fleet, trackered, marshalled from one of three regional bases.

  4. Step 04

    On-site work — Bee Removal

Bee Removal happens at this stage — every other step exists to make this clean.

  5. Step 05

    Photographic as-built pack

Geotagged before-and-after, signed checklist, e-mailed within the SLA window.

Other services

The full delivery posture.

We're built so that the same crew that walked the tower can hand over to the same crew that does the civils — without a second site visit, a second method statement, or a second invoice cycle.
